Description
My first render with Bryce 7Fun Story:
When I was young I used to play on gaiaonline.com and sell custom profile pages made with CSS code for gaia gold. It was a common practice and so was selling artwork to people. Usually they would draw fan art of your avatar on printer paper then either scan it or take a picture of the paper with a digital camera. Well, I had met a fellow coder who also did artwork and he offered his wares and I bought a piece of artwork. I was expecting a picture of a piece of paper with pencil on it but what I got was this strange image of two aquamarine colored spheres in an endless ocean with a blue and purple sky. I thought it was so strange but I vaguely recognized it from some CD's that I had and some rave flyers I had seen and some artwork I saw online. I later found out there's a popular piece of software from the 90s that is used to make that kind of artwork called Bryce3D (which is actually the 3rd edition of the software). THEN I found out that Bryce still exists and it's latest version is 7.1 from 2010. Since 2018 they no longer update this software but you can still buy that version of it from the official dealer here: www.daz3d.com/bryce-7-pro
They managed to keep the spirit alive with the same sort of layout for the software and the same kinds of results in the renders to get that authentic 90s CGI f e e l ~
The default export file type is even Bitmap still.. but apparently DeviantArt doesn't like that so I have to convert it to PNG to upload the preview for it...
