I finished this last night before I went to bed. The only reason I'm submitting it is because I opened it for review this morning and actually scared myself.Sometimes I really freak myself out. Art is funny like that.
About the setup itself: I basically slathered my face with very thin sheets of wet tissue paper and posed like a crazywoman.
It's in Indy Art because it's (obviously) been heavily manipped in Photoshop. Original photo taken with the CP5k. Three overlay layers for contrast and saturation. Dodging and burning in the eye area, as it was underexposed. A very slight gradient adjustment layer added to mess with the colors. Sharpness to the point of grain (this is intentional). Minor clean-up with the Healing Brush (the public doesn't need to see my pimples).

interesting idea, kind of an odd choice of subject, but i think that adds to its appeal...
not sure if i like the tiny little strand hanging down into her mouth though. jury's still out on that one for me...

What scares me the most is seeing always the same boring stuff at the DTF while wonderful and original pieces like this one doesn't get the right exposure.

excellent, the way you saturated the colors give this picture some punch, on the thumbnails i belived there were spiderwebs on you face, but then i saw the wet tissue paper it maked me take a different approach.
