In my fun little AU fanfic, Marceline comes back to Ooo shortly after Harlan was born. PB is very protective of her youngest child, so he's usually by her side. Unfortunately, that makes it hard for Marceline and the princess to spend time together.

Here Marceline sneaks into PB's room to find Harlan happily nestled next to his mother.

Princess Bubblegum: Oh, hey Marcy. It's just Harlan. Squeeze in, he's small.

Marceline: I can take him to Simon's room.

PB: It's okay, let Simon sleep.

Marceline: Ugh.

Marceline stops acting like a jealous older sister once Harlan gains more independence.
