I wouldn't have a clue, sadly ;N; But until I know, I'll presume it's not ;N;
Though I've been buying adopts for years now, so I know some signs that they may not be stolen
-They have their own base, and adopts on said base on this account
-Their brushes and style of been generally consistentΒ
-they've tagged me and the other owner as such in the description, instead of deleting the adopt, or disabling comments
-They went way out of their way to make a "throwaway account" -Β listography.com/sixtooth (Multiple accounts, that they'd need to throw away if it was a scammer's account, even though they're blank, a TH is a pricey thing to be making just to throw away)
-They hint on their front page that this is a side account, which may mean they've been around for awhile and just want to stay annon.
-They've watermarked the art, and provided me a transparent file
And some people just price their things really low when first starting out
Though I wouldn't call this a low price, as this is pretty standard on DA, not to mention competition, this is about where I'd price my anthros and so on ;N; So to have an even smaller following this price is pretty hard to keep, some people get lucky and can get buyers at higher prices easily, but others, myself included, really cut our prices in hopes to get buyers.
Also I gotta say, you should make a comment to them, or note them about it, and not comment to the buyers unless you have proof that they're stolen. You could potentially start a witch-hunt, or drama over something that isn't actually a problem, and cause stress to the buyers about their adopts. Not to mention people will now see your comment, and may not buy from this person, as they're worried they're a scammer, even though their's no proof that they are, which hurts the artist, quite a bit. AND the artist may see your comment, and may just leave altogether because of being called a thiefΒ for doing nothing, as they said that they're a little insecure and shy. I know if I was just starting out, I'd be super upset and leave if people started calling me a thief with no proof
This isnt me trying to talk shit, by the way, Thank you for the concern, It does mean a lot, and I know you meant well, I'm just worried for the artist's sake, as words/comments can do a lot of damage.
I'll keep an eye out, I always do when it comes to buyers, and new deviants.
