The Sun Goddess and the Moon God inspired from Japanese mythology.
This one took me super long but also fun since I had artistic freedom on the design & these characters were interesting to depict different personality of the twins.

Yup! Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi are the sun goddess and the moon god in Japanese mythology! Between the two of them and Susanoo, they are the three major gods in Japanese mythology, and were born from Izanagi. If you're interested in Japanese mythology, look up Izanagi and Izanami, starting with the Japanese creation myth, and you'll see where Naruto got all the references from!
