Description
A $25 ref sheet commission for my Discord friend and RP partner, DocHasegawa ! This is Fenric, his brand new inugami/human hybrid OC (well I think the yokai who was his parent was an inugami; Doc didn't clarify but I can probably guessSince I don't really feel like producing long write-ups (and barely have the time to as of late), you can read the full bio for him and his backstory below:

You can talk with Doc regarding that, since Fenric is his character - I just illustrated his design for him!

I'm pretty sure more than a few Native American legends tell of wolf spirits, too, seeing as wolves were held with great respect by too many tribes to count - some Cherokee tribes for example refused to kill wolves for example out of belief that the spirit of a slain wolf would come back and avenge its death. So that could be the "western equivalent" you speak of lol.
I went with "inugami" because you mentioned that he was part-yokai and considering that inugamis are derived from dogs wholecloth, that term was the first thing I thought of. But I suppose a Native American wolf spirit could work just as well!

It's more Eurocentric but still, really neat stuff. I need to learn more about this.Β

European, you say? Actually I think I may have a few terms for that as well!
- en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bisclavr⦠The Bisclavret was a French werewolf which seems to have retained its human mind despite being animal in form. This means that even though it was entirely wolf-like it retained a noble and friendly spirit.
-Β en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wulver The Wulver is from Scotland, and is more humanoid and also friendly and helpful, leaving out fish to feed the poor. Essentially furrybait, though it is still Scottish; it was also not human to begin with, nor did it have a human form. I guess at the minimum we could be looking at a Scottish equivalent to Inuyasha or something lol.
-Β earthandstarryheaven.com/2015/β¦ Lastly we have the Faoladh, an Irish werewolf. This one's the closest in appearance to the classic Hollywood werewolf and the only one of the friendly conscious werewolves that can actually shapeshift. All the same it's still on humanity's side and fiercely protective, though some accounts do portray them as being as fierce and dangerous as Hollywood will have you believe.
Hope this helps!
