This is a nice piece of art. It's simple but achieves it's purpose. It makes me want to reach into the screen and give her a hug.

To address some of the comments: Hasbro changed her in the one episode because they didn't want to get sued, nor did they want bad publicity for appearing to be insensitive to mentally disabled people. If I was an exec at Hasbro I would have done the same thing.
Has anyone noticed that Derpy isn't a background pony anymore, she's been promoted to midground pony. She still has derped eyes! Hasbro is going out on a limb for it's adult fanbase.
All this rage takes so much away from the enjoyment of this excellent show.
She will make us smile some more in season 3.
