First of all, amazing picture! It is one of my favourites on this site by far! Just a quick question, did you paint the blurry parts blurry, or did you paint them clean and used a filter later on?

Thanks! Yes I painted them first then blurred them with a filter. It's quite difficult painting them as blurred manually.

Lovely work, i like the contrast of the 2 tone grey on the armour, it gives it a little more depth. Β As it's snowing did you think of adding breath vapor?

I think he could've done with a slightly uneasy/not-ready expression. It would give a lot more depth to his character.

Me too! But that's probably just because we weren't born in times of war. Who knows, you and I would've slashed each others throat had we been born in medieval times
