This Drawing was made as a collab with since we had been talking about how different versions from a same character, as envisioned by different fans or the orignal authors themselves may be very simmilar and yet strikingly different
SkekMal was our choice to tackle, because he's one of the skeksis who differs more from one version to another, comparing the four versions *one official and three fanmade* we acknowledged for this collab: from left to right of the screen, here you have Animated'verse Mal, Azureverse Mal, My mal (La'verse Mal) and the "official" Mal as showcased in the recent book "Shadows of the Dark Crystal"
This would be the part 2 of the collab, showing how things go when the four Mals try (and I shall remark "TRY") to set away on a gelfling hunt.
If they go on like that, all the gelflings will be long gone by the time they all stop arguing!

Gonna have to ask my brother for the picture he's drawn of our verse Mal I am pretty sure he's drawn one somewhere I remember him telling me about it (or intends to not sure which) whose probably a cross between 'canon Mal' with a few variations. Shane likes SkekMal almost as much as he likes SkekTek!

I dont think that I've ever seen a frame of reference as to how big these guys are. So unless the elfs are more the size of hobbits, they are scary massive o-o

I have, if we were to consider them "real sized models" at the "behind the scenes" pics
So, we'd have skeksis who are as tall as an average himan being (some taller and some shorter, too)
While gelflings indeed seem to be more or less of a hobbit's size when adult

I love this SkekLa, it is a fitting match to Azure's. like you and Kel's collab your styles are both very different but both great! Still think so many Mals would still be Ouch! and they would constantly bicker about tactics!
