Gir, accidentally got hit with a powerful EMP and Zim is having a break down over not being able to fix him.Even if I'm not a big fan of Gir. I still think Zim needs Gir in a weird way, to keep his anxieties from reaching critical levels. The little insane robot, oddly gives Zim comfort and confidence in his lowest moments.

sorry its sketchy I worked over 20 hours in the past two days soo i'm kinda dead, but I wanted to draw this.
And yes, Zim can cry and has a few times in the show.

I'm totally with you about Gir. Not a big fan, especially after he's been so hyped up after the show ended. But Zim does need him and relies on him, otherwise he would have thrown him out as soon as possible. Anyway, sad but well done drawing.

I'm not a huge GIR fan either (he's okay in small doses), but you're absolutely right. He's Zim's only companion (well except for Minimoose, but never mind that), and I think in his own way, Zim loves him and would be sad if he was gone. Seeing Zim so emotional is some seriously heartbreaking stuff

I could totally picture this happening in an actual episode. I even imagined it in Richard Horvitz's voice. ^_^ Gir, being the hyper active loose-cannon he is, always served as a great foil to Zim's cool and calculating (yet still eccentric) demeanor. Plus, Zim could easily vent his frustrations out on the little guy, but seeing he's a robot (and insane), he would always come back smiling.
