Sooooo, this is the finished product of a digital image design project we just finished. It would have been in my gallery, but I don't know what to put it under? So if anybody could help me, that'd be great. xD;

Anyway, our assignment was to make an image based around song lyrics or a few paragraphs of a poem. I chose Edgar Allen Poe's 'the Raven'.

I live-traced a creepy wall and set the opacity low, painted and drew over it, traced an image of a raven, chair, and skull- and added the font. (using my computer's installed fonts.) OH, and i traced the shadow of the raven from that one Nox Arcana album. All in adobe illustrator.

The font is different colors and 'intensity' because the point of the poem is a descent from sadness, regret, amusement at the bird, ultimately into insanity. I didn't quite capture all of that, but I hope I got the insanity.

Shadow is there because as you all know, at the end of the poem the narrator's soul is trapped within/beneath/whatever the shadow of the raven.
