#26: Chuck D. Head - Decap AttackPoor, poor Decap Attack... you had so much potential, but had so much going against you. You were a bastardized version of an already bastardized game, based off one of the shittiest games ever. You had a chance to rework it into something great, but they just dropped your severed head so hard...
I for one really like Decap Attack (obviously as I added Chuck) and would LOVE to see it revived and given the respect it deserves... this will never happen, but a man can dream. Despite the game's lackluster performance as a whole I really liked it's macabre setting and characters and I really feel they could be good if given the proper treatment.
Besides being a very dark horse entry, I honestly feel this is one of the best pictures in the entire line up this year and am very surprised with it's quality. Chuck was also the very first character to come to mind when coming up with this year's theme.

Oh yeah, I wondered what happened to that game, I mean I know the ending didn't really leave room for a sequel, but I like how those late 1980 early 90's weird experimental games. Now it seems like the brands in charge don't want innovation they only copy what other popular franchises are doing. I appreciate bringing back the memories of this one.

it's a shame, because I think it could have been a fun series of games, if given enough time and care. They apparently had a comic spin off of it, which was interesting to say the least.

Have you heard of the DeCap Attack comics? They're only in the UK, but they're still very cleverly written and worth checking out if you can somehow find them on the internet.
Frankly, I'd like seeing Chuck in a SEGA All-Stars game. Him, Vectorman, and ToeJam & Earl.

Yes, I'm aware of the comics. That would be cool, but I doubt that would ever come to be

Now this one I had to look up, after looking watching some videos I can at least say the character portrayal seems accurate. What a bizarre little game.
