This is actually a rarity for me, to be posting during the summer. It seems my art takes a serious down time during the vacation sadly, I don't know why that is, but oh well. I'm quite pleased with myself on this one.This lovely chap here is none other than the former Phantom Evil King, Epros from Zener Work's Boku to Maoh or Okage: Shadow King as it is known in America. (Sorry, but I just had to reffer to it's Japanese name since I like it so much better. Were it to have been fully translated it would have had a name along the lines of Satan and Me!)
Anyways! Epros has always been my second favorite character in Okage, second only to thet of the ever malevolent Evil King Stan, but he's just to hilarious not to love... Well, love to hate! Epros as a whole is the hardest character to draw from Okage, so says everyone who has ever tried to draw him! I am no exception!
I have never been able to draw Epros... Period! Until tonight, apparently. I just begin scribbling his eye and before I knew it, bam! There was Epros and if I do say so myself, looking awesome! The whole time I drew this I was horrified I might do something to seriously foul up this picture because it was the first well done picture of him I've done and one of the few good pieces of art I've done this summer. Luckily I didn't... Well, with the exception of his left hand which I don't really like, but it's a small price to pay.
Originally my signature was in the very top of the picture and very big, but using the awesome powers of Windows Paint I removed it, because it just didn't look good and replaced it with one of my favorite Epros quotes... Just so you know!

That's when he joins you. The line I used is from the first time he appears in the game in Pos Pos Snowfield.

It wouldn't be as bad if they had given a dungeon before Vampire Evil King, which, regardless of Epros joining then, bothered me, because it made the end of the game feel heavily rushed.

Ahh. Perhaps I can be of some assistance! Do you have any Black Cat Jewels in your inventory? Hopefully you do, because they're basically the only way to defeat him. Other than those, have Big Bull with you and level him up til he at least knows Fire. It is weak, but sicne it's the elemental advantage on Phantom Evil king it hits more often and will chip away at his health. Other that that, he's basically untouchable =\

Yay Epros! I really wish he'd been in the game longer, he was my favorite characters... I have a feeling the writers got sick of writing his dialog though so they cut his role short

Wow, really nice rendition! I think the character sort of resembles, for some reason, the kings on those card suits.

More like the jacks, actually. Epros' weapons are cards and if you'll notice his colol scheme is that os a card; black, white, red, and in the face cards some blue and yellow. But still, yeah, he's suppose to kinda looke like a jack from a face card.

You'd be surprised XD Actually, I find most of the Okage a bit tricky to draw, besides like Kisling and Big Bull. However, no, Epros does not LOOK difficult to draw.
