Description
This is a closer look at how I designed the head for my version of the Transformer Bumblebee.
Because I was drawing the original Bumblebee in the style of Michael Bay's new movie, wanted to make a head that looked more like the original G1 face but also had a "battle mode" function. I also wanted it to have a bunch of sliding parts.
Giving Bumblebee a battle mode also gave me the opportunity to go back to the face of the G1 TOY, which had a mouth guard.
When Bumblebee transforms to battle mode, the yellow pieces on his chin just flip over his mouth, preparing him to kick decepti-can.
