Description
This is Nol-Varin. He's a space criminal who was banished from his home and now has amassed a large sum of cash through capturing and selling endangered species across the universe.

His name used to be Varin, but he's now called Nol-Varin. His species (the Axolopians) put the word "Nol-" next to the names of those who are disgraced or banished. Due to this, Nol-Varin repeatedly insists people just call him Varin, as he's embarrassed about being banished by his people. As mentioned, Varin is an Axolopian. The Axolopians are a species that resemble a humanoid Axolotl. Axolopians are known for their society-wide superiority complex, and their incredibly long lifespans.

Nol-Varin is absolutely obsessed with his own status and public appearance, constantly trying to make himself seem like a dignified gentlemen, even in the presence of the war criminals and mercenaries that he often does business with. One of his major weaknesses is his short temper, as when even the slightest inconvenience comes his way, he'll often throw temper tantrums and start yelling and cursing. He's also very quick to overestimate his abilities, believing he's much greater and more powerful than he actually is. Despite all this, Nol-Varin is still quite clever, and can come up with intelligent schemes when his anger and ego aren't getting in the way. Nol-Varin also has another weakness in that he doesn't believe anyone but himself can be competent or depended on. Due to this way of thinking, Nol-Varin often belittles and demeans anyone who helps him, and often takes credit for other's work.

Nol-Varin's business and primary source of income, is the capture of rare, endangered, and often dangerous creatures, and selling them in auctions. His wares are most commonly purchased by warlords and soldiers, wanting to purchase monstrous beasts to use in warfare. Nol-Varin's most valuable asset is his patented Crystallization Ray. Using a special crystal fluid he discovered, he found a way to use it as fuel for what would become the Crystallization Ray. The Crystallization Ray can encase anything it hits in a purple crystal that's nearly impossible to break out of without someone from the outside to assist. Nol-Varin has hundreds of weapons that fire these Crystallization Rays, and regularly hires mercenaries and poachers to use them in getting more rare creatures for him to sell. Nol-Varin's cane also has one of these Crystallization Ray weapons hidden in the bottom, in case he's ever in danger.
