Description NOTE: THIS IS A LARGE DRAWING. It may take some time to load! Because the suitability of the entry for printing is one of the factors that determine whether or not my drawing might be selected, I have uploaded the full size image (5000 pixels x 10000 pixels). I would normally scale it down and put a note here saying I have a larger version, but for all I know they won't even read the description. :l Better safe than sorry I suppose?

Some Prokofiev to go with this.

This is supposed to be the wolf and the huntsman from Little Red-Ridinghood. I don't believe there are such things as good or evil, because it's all a matter of perspective, so for my entry I simply attempted to reverse it so that the wolf receives the pity and the huntsman the hate. Fun fact, in the Grimm's version, Little Red-Ridinghood is called Little Red-Cap and the wolf is killed by filling his stomach up with stones as he sleeps:
So he [the huntsman] went into the room, and when he came to the bed, he saw that the wolf was lying in it. Do I find you here, you old sinner, said he. I have long sought you. Then just as he was going to fire at him, it occurred to him that the wolf might have devoured the grandmother, and that she might still be saved, so he did not fire, but took a pair of scissors, and began to cut open the stomach of the sleeping wolf. When he had made two snips, he saw the little red-cap shining, and then he made two snips more, and the little girl sprang out, crying, ah, how frightened I have been. How dark it was inside the wolf. And after that the aged grandmother came out alive also, but scarcely able to breathe. Red-cap, however, quickly fetched great stones with which they filled the wolf's belly, and when he awoke, he wanted to run away, but the stones were so heavy that he collapsed at once, and fell dead.Source:Β www.cs.cmu.edu/~spok/grimmtmp/…

Everyone knows you. Big Bad Wolf. Now I'm the bad guy and you're Sheriff. What kinda f*ckin' world is that, huh?

-The Woodsman, Fables: The Wolf Among Us

The Big Bad Wolf's resurgence as a anti-hero in recent fiction is awesome, don't you think? From Sisters Grimm to Fables, the wolf has become the perfect symbol for fighting against one's nature to become a truly good person.

Also, this art is just fantastic. 10/10. I hope you win the grand prize. You're also going to get a watch from me.

I like this because the other twist of fate posts that give the cool badge are mostly my little pony and this post is more attractive to myself. If I wasn't mostly posting the comment for myself to get a cool dank animated badge that suits my interests I would say that I enjoy your art style and I feel as though your personal experiences are bleeding through your art - for I can identify certain themes with the art from my own life experiences. I hypothetically bet that if I were bet that if (judging by the harsh and painful tones of the art work) that you have experienced some type of adversity and or personal pain that has shaped your early life. You seem truly able to resonate emotions of hardship into art (such as this) to get the viewer to truly look into themselves and or the message contained within the art of colours and lines herein to focus upon a point within one's own world and pull out certain strings of emotion that resonate within the themes of sacrifice, loss, pain and adversity.

Love this piece its very storybook. If that makes sense, like how the old books were illustrated. I appreciate the subtle use of color and the subtle skulls that are in the fallen log.
