Few days ago on the 27th, MapleStory2 closed down it's global servers after only 2 years of it's international release.Problems were all over the place with this game, unfortunately, from Q&A not meeting with player feedback to help improve performance to downright inward corporate greed.
Despite all that: I loved MapleStory 2. It was a beautifully adorable distraction, as both it's 3D and artstyle was so cute and charming with its Minecraft inspired landscapes and environments. I met a lot of awesome, creative people. My personal favourite thing to do was the User Generated Content: where you could design from scratch your avatar's clothing, to their weapons. I frequented the Wizard class as I just immensely enjoyed what it had to offer in combat/etc, and of course, my OC Heather took the role.
It absolutely breaks my heart that this game is gone...but I will always be inspired from this game and it will always stay in my heart.
