This is a 40k "Dreadnaught" Its primary function; is the elongation of a brothers/warriors life whilst being utterly crippled and unable to carry the fight on his own terms.

After a battle brother is unable to carry the fight and wishes to carry on, but is unable to do so with his own meager means. He will be entombed in a sarcophagus, that which keeps his battered body alive.

He is literally cybernetically linked to the Sarcophagus in such a way that escape is impossible, but considering many new pilots' are mangled enough that they are literally without the means to serve the Emperor.

So they offer themselves as pilots for dreadnaughts.

Also, I don't see any chapter markings. From what chapter are these Dreadnaughts from?

...Unless... This is pre-heresy?

Judging by the chapter number on legs and shoulders, these dreadnoughts belong to the Imperial Fists or one of their successor chapters.

I like the composition in this piece, and how you made good use of a very limited color range.

Very cool, are you a fan of 40k? I always enjoy it when an artist I watch does their own take on pre-existing themes.

Love WH40K, especially when drawn by you. Your vision of the almighty Dreadnought is quite interesting. Like the weapons they each have. Beat the crap out the foe !
