wanted to make another unique beastie kinda girl like i did with aster so i made this one (who i might change the color scheme of cause its a lil too close to asters)

Her name is Scrufi and she's whats known as a Mongrel
Mongrels are like a mix between werewolves, vampires, and any scavenger species. In form they look very similar to werewolves and appear to be canine but have their skull on their exterior. However, unlike werewolves Mongrels can change in and out of form anytime they please and seem to have no reaction to lunar patterns with one exception (which i will get to)
Mongrels, while nocturnal aren't hurt by being in sunlight they are just usually sleeping during that time. But bringing in their vampire/scavenger inspiration means discussing their eating habits. Mongrels can eat absolutely anything off an animal. Skin, muscle, bone, even if has started decomposing a Mongrel's stomach can stomach it and find nutritional use out of it. They seem to have no preference if their prey is alive or dead but they go about it either way in a similar manner. They start by draining their catch of all blood (which they do so by consuming it) and then devour the rest of the body. Any fur and bone will merely get digested and pass through their system and honestly its a good thing they aren't really picky about what they eat because Mongrels are almost always hungry and struggle to keep up with their metabolism.
Mongrels are never quite full and are pretty much always either eating or sleeping and this cycle comes to a build up until the Harvest Moon in which Mongrels will go off on a maddened hunting spree to drive off built up adrenaline some of which call this time the Frenzy
But after which Mongrels go back to living their normal lives

Which isn't much as mongrels are mostly feral, never really reverting between their forms and live life as a loner. Never staying with a mate or even their children for long after birth.
Which makes Scrufi a bit of an anomaly
She has an abnormally low metabolism for a Mongrel (though still a relatively high metabolism for most people) and is oddly more sociable than any of her kinsmen (most of whom she never met, as all mongrel children are considered ready to fend for themselves very shortly after birth) Because of this Scrufi was able to live a more civilized life.
She was taken in by two men who ran and owned a night club. They found her as a child and actually thought she was some weird kind of dog (a dog with its skull on the exterior) but decided they wouldn't mind having a bad ass looking pooch around and affectionately named her Scruffy. Of course it wasn't long til they realized this was actually a little girl and not a dog, and since they had already been taking care of her as a dog, they wouldn't mind taking care of her as a daughter then. She didn't really respond to any other name at that point though so Scrufi it was.
Now grown up, Scrufi works as a bouncer at her fathers' club. She also gets to perform every some odd night when the usual talent doesn't show. She sings and plays the electric guitar, and her dads encourage her skills as long as she stops practicing when everyone is trying to sleep.
She's no longer feral, but she still tends to act on instinct and be very dog like. And every time the Harvest Moon comes around she is allowed out to join her kinsmen in expelling the pent up adrenaline in her system (and is the cause of many of her scars though she never remembers how she gets them)
Other than that her favorite snack is chicken bones and she one day hopes to take over her fathers' buisness.
