It's finally done! After a long mental vacation, the color has finally been added. There's a step by step video of this guy's process on my facebook page for anyone that's interested.

Going through school and college, there was a lot of work that required a process called brainstorming that collected a pool of thoughts and ideas onto a piece of paper to give you somewhere to start and progress, and the same is true for a lot of my art (and I'm sure for most artists). I usually have a problem with overthinking things. I think out all the possible routes and results of most everything I do (minus showering, taking dumps, sleeping, and other mindless daily activities that are second nature). For some reason, my brain is trained to be over-logical and extremely careful, and it makes a lot of simple decisions extremely difficult to make. I have to weigh the positives and negatives of everything. I have to decide how and when I'm going to execute things (not just lump decisions, but piece by piece decisions). "Should this be an array of dull pinks, or should it be a group of opposite complimentary colors? Should I add more shading to the elbows? Should I add more detail to blah blah blah?..." I'm sure you get the picture, so I'll stop blabbing.

This is for those of you who have problems with overthinking. Everything in life has consequences, so don't beat yourself up for trying to rationalize which consequence is the best. Just know that you will be better off with your decisions than someone with similar problems that rushes through things without the slightest second thought. Just be you...

Love it! Great Detail and interesting concept. Good job on the color too, I recently started using copic markers and pitt pens and it hasn't been easy, it takes some getting used to.

Thanks man. Took me a while to get used to copics. I found that I needed to pay more attention to the marker bleed than the lumps of color, and small circles over and over works better than lines.

You're welcome.

Seriously though.  It drives me insane!!  I can't begin to tell you how much I despise over-thinking everything about my work.  Every single damn piece I create too!!!!    Sometimes I wish I was a robot.  And I've gotta feeling you do too.

It is a trait that can come in handy.  At least you know you cover all your options, right?

Thanks, and about 25-30 hours in total(most of the line work inbetween customers at work, so that part took a little longer than it should have).
