this is what happens when you take things on the literal sense, sometimes it turns out to be awesome and sometimes not. This is one of the not awesome.
Also I love the little bomb taking a paint bath XD

One serious thing I forgot to tell you about. Do try adding Occlusion Shadows. it helps bring out the depth a bit more. Don't LINE it in though. Shade it in, if not it'll look like a line.

sketchersocks In reply to PuchiSherry [2013-02-04 12:03:48 +0000 UTC]
I try to do that but most of the time I end up overpainting and it gets sucked into the rest of the colours, so there isn't an occlusion shadow left *_* I'll keep that in mind in the future (โกโฟโกโฟ)

I mean like between the white of the shirt and the blue of the denim suspenders there has to be some space, so it's an ideal place to put it. Didn't you EAT my painting habits ANYWAY? Get with the Pro_Gram ohmaigawd *handflick*

Oh my god, this is precious! Awww, poor Peacock, having to finally live up to the catchphrase she's said. It doesn't seem it's as fun as the method she WANTED to use, huh? Lol~. Poor girl's gonna need a lot of help if she wants to get the whole town done. HEY I'D HELP~! 8D
Anyways, as for the art itself rather than the content... It is absolutely LOVELY! The perspective is absolutely wonderful! From the ladder, to the paint tray (that George there is finding to be the perfect little bath)... To Peacock herself! The shadows are also all in their proper places to imply a singular light source, which that one I myself have issues with.
Now on to the colors! This is really where it gets good! There is no case of drab colors here, as even the grays look like they could pop out! And the more vibrant colors are not done in a way that 'mutes' the darker either, which is most certainly a common problem in art. And you do this in a lineless style, no less! Which makes this even more impressive!
Expression and pose-wise? I'd say you nailed it! It doesn't even take a second glance to tell how the character(s) in the scene feel, which is also another problem I've noticed that is common. I also find it cute that one of Peacock's eyes looks angry as heck, while the others are looking at what George is doing.
And that concludes what I've to say about the art~. Wonderful job~! And it's alright if you missed a piece in the picture, it's pretty common to happen when you've so much you're working on in a picture. C8 And congratulations on getting a keyboard! And uhm... HI! Sorry for not saying that sooner... And my apologies for leaving such a long post as well.. Whoopsie! D8

Ah! Thank you so much~! I was a bit worried I wrote a bit too much... But I'm very glad that they were as much a joy for you to read, as they were for me to write~. And you are quite welcome~. It most certainly makes me feel incredibly happy to know my words have invoked such a positive feeling for another~.
I know how hard it can be sometimes, and how long it can take to make works of art such as this. It is so often that artists don't get as much recognition as all the detail and work that they put in to such lovely pictures. Which is why I try my absolute best to give a detailed reply as to all the things I noticed and liked in artwork. C8
