I hear ya on catching up on projects. I wish I didn't have to work a real job so that I could do this all day. Keep asking my wife if I can quit work, but she keeps on telling me no for some reason.

lol, makes sense to me. I'm actually going to the" Joe Kubert school" in new jersey. it's pretty much Bootcamp for commercial artists. lots of work, but you learn a ton and get lots of experience.

I had thought about going a couple years back, an artist told me I'd be board to death the first year. Some times I wish I had, just for the connections you can make would have been worth it. And I proabally would have picked up a lot more skillz in my work. But can't dwell on the past, must push ahead right?!?!
Funny I buy my art baords from them, and people alwasy ask me if thats were I went. But until I find a baord as good with a cheaper price tag, or Im making huge bank I'll be sticking with them.

Good luck with school man!!

Thanks a bunch! The first year was actually a lot of fun. Even though we were going over the basics, it was great to see professional's techniques. The teachers are also incredibly inviting ana always make time for the students, even if it's after school cutting into their work time. You are completely right in your way of thinking. Always push forward! Joe Kubert is 83 and still drawing comics, and teaching students. If he can still push himself as much as he is, anyone can.

I've been luck to run into a couple of pros that have given me tips or advice. With out some of it theres no way I'd be as far along as I am. I still think I have a way to go, but some people out there think Im going to hit it soon. I hope I'm wrong and they're right!LOL!!!

That's how You should be feeling. If you feel like your artwork is fine... You've stopped growing. When you stop growing, you become complacent. When that happens, you're screwed.
