It's my opinion that this scene between Twilight and Sunset was inspired by a scene in Aladdin where he and Jasmine are looking at the palace from his house and they're discussing the lives they lead, before coming to the same conclusion that sometimes they feel trapped in their positions, and share a smile with each other.
