Beautifully symbolic artwork Sketch. And the rough look of the pencils just make the sudden impact of this artwork all the more potent as you watch the sands of time slowly drift away.

However the metaphor itself is not without reasonable concern. Because its in the absence of bliss do we recognise just how fleeting life truly is, and how tiny we are as a species, let alone a single being attempting to struggle against our futile circumstances, buried beneath several other beings desperately clawing away to escape the same fate all life struggles to avoid... Inevitability.

And that expression perfectly encapsulates the sinking feeling you can get once you realise "Oh my god, time is passing me by, I haven't much time left, I'm going to die, someone help me!"

Then of course we come full circle to inevitability and the natural fear one feels prior to acceptance of totality which allows for one to at last transcend beyond the needs and desires of corporeal origin once you have accepted inevitability.

It just occurred to me that I tend to get at my most philosophical whenever I take a look at your artwork. I suppose it appeals to my morose tastes but none the less I wanted to congratulate you on a fantastic job here Sketch.

The expression and concept really shine here, and maybe its just because I've been replaying Silent Hill 3 quite a bit, but with a few modifications I think we've got a perfect combination of the Pendulum and The Glutton (That giant monster that blocks the exit from the Otherworld Hilltop Center). It just strikes that same sort of symbolic chord which in my eyes is something to be proud of.

Fantastic work Sketch! : )

Ah! Oh my gosh thank you so much! (>-<)
Haha, this piece definitely meant a lot to me when I drew it. I was going through some rough stuff and I felt like I had wasted a lot of time because of it so I suppose this drawing was an expression of that. I remember feeling a lot better after drawing this piece as well so that's good haha (^_^)

That's the beauty of artwork and self expression man. You always feel like you've gotten something off your chest once its all said and done. Either way I'm glad that this piece in particular was able to help you out during that rough Patch Sketch.
