"Academics like to fantasize too, you know".Holly Summers - the sexiest chick in gaming. Holy hell. She is hand's down my favorite boss from No More Heroes. I love both her tracks, her level/battlefield, her design, her character and accent. If you guys haven't played this game for the Wii I seriously recommend renting it. It's so much fun. Though I heard the UK version has no blood XD What a joke LOL Anyways, used some refs to get the design as correct as possible and the background texture and splatter are from cgtextures.com

It was this character that attracts me to the No more heroes series, i was about paint her, and search dA for her fanart for abit, then i found this awesome piece by yours. Great Work, The part that i loved most in your painting was the metal leg. I assume she lost that leg in one of her previous battle, totally din realize about that metal leg in the official illustration. Yeah I agree shes one hell of a character with sexy design, sexy character, sexy accent, etc.... and yeah her level is one brilliant design.

I think it was either the fight with Holly or the one with Shinobu that made Travis realise what he was doing.
It might be cruel to say this, but I love how Suda51 decided to make this character commit suicide, it drags you into the story, and after this kill I was hoping that the story'd get deeper. Too bad it didn't.
She's the best boss in the game, best dialogue, best attacks, best looks, but the backgroundmusic of Bad Girl was better, but that's all.

Agreed! I really thought that scene with Holly was kind of the height of the game, character development-wise anyways. Her theme's were good, but you're right Pleather for Breakfast was better. I also really loved Speedbuster's theme ;] (Super late reply -__-; Sorry!)

Suda should've taken that moment in the game to change the plot radically, he could make Travis fight against the ranking-system to avenge Holly, instead of fighting his way up. But the thing with the UAAA being just a fluke and Sylvia a con-artist was daring and awesome as well...

i would say that she's hot, but she really got on my nerves when she did that motherfucking missile attack (talk about overkill, she did it every second!) i really can't stand holly summers now.

Ahh the missle attack haha. If you run in a decent sized circle around her you won't get hit at all, or hit under the rock ledge at the far end of the beach. I actually found Holly the easiest, and Shinobu the hardest. Until I figured out there are pillars in the room for a reason XD *is stupid* haha. Damn I wanna play some No More Heroes now! ;D

I really like this picture. Holly Summers looks like she's enjoying herself in a carefree manner-- and the splatter of blood in behind complements the picture well. Her face looks really nice.
And of course, it's cool to see some No More Heroes artwork. She's probably one of my favorite NMH assassins.

I've just defeated Shinobu on Bitter, it feels good to be the king.
Anyway, Harvey (as the magician is named) is said to be just playing with you, sparring a bit, basicly trying to entertain his public.
He might not even have known that you were trying to kill him, since he didn't know that he was "number ..."

Ouch. I died so many times at Shinobu on Normal... I can't imagine the headaches I'll get from RAEGING at her on Bitter.

On Bitter, you can use the big sword with the 5 blades, so that makes it a tad easier.

Yeah, that's kind of the feel I got from this game as well. It's an addicting feeling 8U and it's even weirder when I'm driving around town (Los Angeles) because it feels kind of similar too.. and then I'm all like WHATS HAPPENING AAAA AM I IN A MOVIE but not really.

No More Heroes is a song by the Stranglers.

I'm not really good enough to give realistic crit, but I guess you could round out her shoulder a little so it's not jutting out too sharply. That's probably the only thing that bugs me.
it's probably just like a swiss army knife or something, not really for combat but more of a "use if all other options run out" kinda thing lol.

I think that Suda51 wanted to use the knife, but later decided to use the spade instead. The knife is quite detailed in the sketches.

I like the hard bosses, they give more satisfaction when you beat them.
I mean, after Harvey and Speedbuster I simply kept playing because I wasn't satisfied. Jeane was hard however, and it took me about an hour to beat her, I think.

I saw the sketch of that guy, there seems to be only one sketch of him. His sword is pulled from his helmet, and consists out of a lot of tiny beamswords tied to a string.
I was quite surprised when he was killed.
