Yay for getting a great shot like this. We saw over 20 moose during my "vacation" to my old stomping grounds in Onawa, Abbot and Monson, and since they were mostly out at NIGHT, my pics were

yeah....they do seem to be out more at night. Which reminds me, something I never want to see again is a moose at night while coming around a blind turn in my car.

We had a NASTY moose/car accident here on York a week ago. New Brunswick people coming to MA for a concert hit a moose on the turnpike and rolled the car, and it hit a tree. The passenger was killed instantly and so was the poor moose. Problem is, you can't see them at night, you're going the speed limit or over and moose don't know enough to fear cars. So there you go. Be careful.
