I loved Starlight as a villain and it made me a little sad to see her reformed. Though, I think I can forgive the writers considering Chrysalis' very... Interesting return, to say the least. Hahah. But dude, THIS IS KICK ASS!! I'd love to see some more art like this, it looks absolutely stunning!Β

I just wish she would have had a bit more of a backstory before going sociopathic. Losing one friend who wasn't a very good one wouldn't have been enough. It would have taken more and that was just a catalyst.
I'm glad for her new place because the episodes she's in actually shows a side we don't see in the other characters. In the kidfriendly show, Starlight is the most realistic and hits closer to my own personality.

Oooh yeah, I think everyone can agree that the backstory is veeery lacking in punch. It's extremely underwhelming...
I do have to say that I appreciate Starlight as well, though probably for a different reason than most? She's a strong leader and leagues above others in her raw talent but she struggles with her own sense of identity. She views ponies of worth by their abilities and strives for a highly efficient society, which is why she viewed talents as being frivolous and unnecessary. It's an extremely interesting and entirely different viewpoint than what we've seen from others. That's why I loaf her so much. >-<
