Matcha was enthralled by the day’s lesson, a review on magic types and magic glands. Magic was hardly new to Matcha; she had seen it done plenty of times in the past. However, as her teacher said, the magic would soon apply to kids like her. Her tongue tingled occasionally, the beginning warnings of adulthood creeping up behind her. Matcha, with all her positivity and hope, wanted this. Becoming a grown-up meant coming ever closer to becoming a Moomy.
When she dreamed about where she wanted her magic glands to be, the answer came to her instantaneously; right on her chest, proud and center. She was always told how abjuration was the magic of protection. Those blessed with that magic were natural protectors, keeping everyone safe and sound. Of course, this seemed like the perfect magic for someone who wanted to one day keep the stumps of the stump house safe.
It was certain to happen. Surely.
