(Woman to Donkey)
Alexis sighed as she flipped through her phone idly. It wasn’t that she was looking for anything in particular, she just wanted something to take her mind off of… Well, off of nothing. She had recently become an adult, which she realized basically meant there was nothing to look forward to in her life.
Sure, she had vacations, and exciting things that came out on occasion-but they weren’t as meaningful as summer or winter vacations. The only things she looked forward to were new movie releases, or the nights good things were on T.V.
The girl scratched at her ears, reading an article that sounded familiar. Then she paused, tabbing through her browser. Sure enough, she’d bookmarked it earlier. She’d been reading it, had gotten halfway through, then decided that she’d finish it later.
Well, she’d already read this part, so she wasn’t interested. She’d finish it later. Alexis sighed and closed the old tab, so that the new one would be a little fresher on her phone. She accidentally closed that, too, and sighed again. It wasn’t that important, she couldn’t be bothered to go into her history.
“Work in… Three hours. Great.” She sighed lackadaisically, looking towards the TV. When did she put Netflix on? An hour ago? She remembered that… Somewhat.
The girl leaned in towards her remote, rolling her eyes. “Well, I missed… Most of this show, so none of it would make any sense.” She leaned back, remote in hand, before realizing that she was looking at a documentary. “Or… Actually. This makes for good background noise.”
“The farmer decides to use an animal for plowing. This revelation was the perhaps the most-”
“Yeah, not paying attention to that.” The brunette tossed the remote onto the cushion next to her, going back to tabbing through her phone. “One more day until work tomorrow. Yay. Weekend.” She said monotonously. Honestly, this was nice. She didn’t like having to put on a face for her coworkers, sometimes she just need some time alone.
Time to…
She blinked, her eyes unfocusing a little. On her screen, there was… It didn’t quite make sense. It was a letter, she could recognize that much, but it didn’t belong to any alphabet she’d realized. It had been sent to her in an e-mail, apparently she’d been checking that, but…
“Weird.” Alexis leaned in, intrigued. She didn’t recognize the sender, but the message’s subject was simple enough: ‘Bored? Click here to change your life!’ There were some instructions that she’s glossed through about being in a safe place, then she’d gotten to what she’d thought was the meat of the e-mail.
Instead of some diet plan, there was just that symbol, one that made her head ache. It wasn’t painful, more just a numb ache as though she was overtired or drunk. Alexis was intrigued very much so. Her blue eyes twinkled as she looked at the letter, working how to pronounce it.
Then it clicked. She said a word that somehow wasn’t a word at the same time. It was a sound, something primal and guttural that somehow managed to sound smooth and flowing all the same. IT was like an ugly phrase that had been sung beautifully, and the second it passed through her ears her whole body tingled.
“-a simple donkey. The farmer decides to hook the beast up, careful of its long ears when bridling its stocky muzzle.”
Alexis grunted as her ears ached, then yelped as her face began to swell. She could feel it happening, a numb ache spreading through her jaw as though she was in some sort of dream. Her nostrils widened on her face, and she shook her head as if to clear her thoughts.
A large and furry object swatted against her eyes, and it took her a moment to process that it was her ear. This definitely wasn’t okay. She had to get some sort of help, had to call someone, maybe the hospital?
“Hey, Google! Call HGHEEEAWW! HEEAAUWW! HAAAWWR!” Drool dripped from her lips as her muzzle thickened, her lips growing coarse and rough on her face. She pawed at the large muzzle with both hands, shuddering at how it felt like she was petting an animal and at the same time was stroking her own cheeks.
Her hair coarsened on her head, the longer hairs pulling back towards her neck into a mane. Gray fur sprouted from the rest of her smooth skin, marring it as it changed into hide. The girl’s face was flushed as she felt her cheeks spread, her neck creaking as it stretched.
She tried to speak again, if only to confirm that she couldn’t. “HGHEEAWW! HAAAUWRGH!”
Alexis knew the sound well enough, it was the sound of a donkey. She also knew that she had no idea what to do. College hadn’t even taught her how to do her job, much less how to transform gracefully into an animal.
“And now, the donkey is led outside on its hooves.”
Her hands and feet ached, and Alexis looked to her television in mute horror. Was the documentary somehow changing her? No, that couldn’t be it, she’d been watching this for a bit already… Maybe it had to do with the documentary and the e-mail?
“HEEAUUW!” She managed, grimacing as her hands balled up into fists. Her fingers merged together into thick, numb masses. She could feel out through them, but at the same time couldn’t feel them. It was like wearing heels, only her feet were the heels. She could feel their presence on her feet but couldn’t feel anything below a certain point. Now that certain point just happened to be her ankles, rather than the soles of her feet.
She looked desperately down to the e-mail, reading it now for the first time. Granted, that was a little hard with her eyes at either side of her skull, but she managed after closing on eye. The text clearly described something about ‘activation rune’ and something else about ‘deactivation below’, but she couldn’t see the second picture.
Alexis moved a hoof towards her phone, succeeding only in loudly tapping it against the capacitive glass. She realized her mistake, instead trying to nudge it with her nose. Unfortunately, her big donkey nose only managed to smear some snot around it. All that left was her tongue…
She knew it would work. She’d tried it once when she was bored. Still, with such a long and thick tongue… Plus the fact that she’d be licking her own mucus… No, she had to do this! She wouldn’t just succumb to this change, especially if it was correctable.
“-doing this, the farmer needs to take care of the donkey’s temper. With their muscular bodies and quick rage, they are unsuitable for certain-”
“HAAAWR!” It wasn’t working, darn it! Her eyes narrowed and she instinctively kicked her back legs, knocking the arm from her couch with a loud splintering of wood. The phone and TV remote bounced off of the cushions, the former skidding beneath her dresser and the latter landing before her.
No! She needed that phone to… Wait. Did she need the phone? Alexis struggled to rein in an uncharacteristic temper, breathing deeply through her flared nostrils, feeling the air pull in through her snout.
She could… Lower the television volume? That would work, right? Or turn it off… She felt a little silly for thinking of that second, but she wasn’t in the right body right now, much less the right state of mind. Already she could feel her breasts receding into her chest, a stocky barrel body replacing her feminine figure.
Granted, she’d never been fit-but she’d never been fat, either. Alexis had enjoyed a decent fatness homeostasis, up until rather recently. She huffed, delicately lifting a hood and moving it to the power button of her remote. She couldn’t think about that right now, she had to focus on very carefully tapping the button, and-
“With such long limbs, the donkey does its work with ease.”
She slammed her hoof into the remote as her arms and legs had a massive growth spurt. The sound of plastic cracking filled the air, and the documentary’s volume started to tick up of its own accord. “NGHEEAUUW! HAAAW!” Alexis spat, slamming her rear hooves into the wall, then panicking as they got stuck.
Her legs were longer than she’d given them credit for, and she blushed, shaking her head and tousling her ears, flopping her mane from side to side. Finally, she heaved forward, her body falling muzzle-first onto the ground.
An ear covered one of her eyes, and she huffed indignantly, feeling its new muscles twitch. Then she struggled to rise to her feet, wincing at how deafeningly loud the television was. A primal urge to kick in fear rose within herself, and she bolted outside before she could destroy any more of her house.
She probably should have thought about how it would look to her neighbors: a donkey dressed in human clothing bolting from her apartment. It was ridiculous and humiliating, but thankfully it was also the weekend. People were out with their families and friends, so anyone watching would at least be inside.
Alexis thumped her hooves against the grass, turning back towards her apartment and watching the screen. She would sit it out here, and wait for the documentary to end. Then she’d try and find her phone, and… Well, that reversal thing sounded good. She might not be able to speak it, but maybe she wouldn’t need to?
“-donkey is a dimwitted beast, and a hungry one. After a hard day’s work-“
Her blood ran cold as she realized that she could still hear the documentary and by then it was too late. Alexis could feel her thoughts clouding, like she was drunk. She groaned, gritting her thick teeth against one another as a tail slipped above the waistband of her pants.
She huffed and chuffed, her lips flapping with every exhalation. The donkey… No, the girl. She was a girl. A girl donkey. Jenny? No, that was her name… The donkey huffed, trying to remember thoughts that were no longer there. She knew she’d gone to a school, and had gotten a proper education. She just couldn’t remember the institution, or her professors, or her friends.
Jenny nickered miserably, before realizing that her name wasn’t Jenny. It was odd, because she could have sworn it was. But she knew… Name? Why was she thinking about… She didn’t have a name. The donkey grunted, her belly rumbling.
She… No! She was a… Hungry… No! Hungry nohungry yes hungry. Her eyes glazed as the television continued to speak, words that her mind could no longer comprehend. The donkey’s tail sprouted a tufted tip and it swayed from side to side, fanning herself in the heat.
She shook her body, rippling her flanks and tousling her ears. Then she leaned her head in towards the grass, drooling onto it. A very small part of her mind rebelled against this, but it was a part that soon grew quiet.
The donkey opened her mouth wide, chomping down onto the leafy blades. She pulled her head back, uprooting the greenery and chewing on it idly with her mouth open. She revealed that every bite stuck grass into her unkempt teeth, and she didn’t feel any shame in the slightest about it.
Her ears flicked as she enjoyed the sun, feeling a little odd in the cloths that covered her body, but too stupid to know how to remove a hoodie and sweatpants. So instead, she simply continued to graze until well in the evening, when Animal Control was finally called.

You do know that their are buttons on the side of the TV. To be exact a volume up button, volume down button, a channel up and down button, menu button, input menu button, and a POWER button. Or am I one of the few people that still knows these things.

Nice little excursion i love how common mind deterioration is for you cause that is definitely not a very commonly occurring thing in the fandom.
Descriptions were nice i just wish there was a bit more in individual aspects of her changes. That being said i really enjoyed it!
