Is "Ekkalasq" an ancient meaning for seal, or is it the name of a certain seal monster from a legend or something? Just curious.

I think this is one of your best leopard-seal works. The language is very intriguing - it seems to me like a cross between Old Norse and Inuktitut.

Es ist Seeleopardisch. Charakteristisch sind allgemein Zisch-und helle Grolllaute (vielleicht sollte man besser Grelllaute sagen?)Unterscheidet sich erheblich vom weichmäuligem Charakter andere Robbensprachen (wobei es dort enorme Unterschiede gibt, aber das würde jetzt zu weit führen).
Ekkalasq dürfte eigentlich soviel wie "Vogelstimme", "Vogelsprecher" o.ä. bedeuten. Ein legendärer Seeleopard aus langvergangnen Zeiten, der Heerscharen von Skuas und anderen Vögeln befehligte. Der Vers dort oben scheint mir ein kurzer Lobgesang zu sein. Ich forsche noch.

It's Leopard Seal tongue. Don't know exactly what it means, but it seems to be a short hymn of praise for Ekkalasq, an ancient Leopard Seal hero.

Das mit dem haiähnlichen Aussehen ist hier eher Zufall. Seeleoparden haben ein recht spezielles Aussehen, was bisweilen eher an Reptilien erinnert - habe ich hier sehr überzeichnet dargestellt
