This is one of those movies that you watch and can never truly forget. It shows cats as a primal hunter in a very unique way. Few movies are as diverse as this, very few.

I never finished the movie (I found it on accident on YouTube), but I purchased the book and have read it about five times. Truly an amazing (if a little disturbing) book!

How did I discover Felidae? I was watching Fritz the Cat in 2013, a much weirder but similar movie, when I looked up the top ten weirdest movies ever. Sure enough I discovered Francis!Β

I discovered Felidae in one of the weirdest ways possible. Β I was watching American football yesterday and at one point, Kevin changed it to a German soccer match (broadcast in English of course). Β I decided to look up German Animation, and a bunch of the movies I was kinda familiar with (The Congress, Felix the Cat: The Movie, Happily N'Ever, Pippi Longstocking 1997) were only Germany co-collaborations. Β The only German animated movie I was even kind of familiar with was The Magic Voyage which is not a movie to be proud of. Β I found Felidae right above Felix The Cat: The Movie, found Felidae on Youtube in English in its entirety for free and decided to check it out. Β I'm glad I did since this cross between a film noir and The Secret of NIMH went into darker territory and deeper philosophy about genetics than The Secret of NIMH. Β Considering this was the product of a country responsible for the most famous genocide in human history, that just makes the whole movie more poignant. Β Though I still prefer Mrs. Brisby as a character over Francis.

It was made in 1994... I think it was hand or computer drawn. Sorry if I can't tell you for sure, I'm not an expert ^-^'

Somehow I can whatch plague dogs, watership down, and die hard but I can't freaking whatch felicity's death whithout bawling my eyes out and then my mom will be like whats wrong then I would say nothing (im only ten so my mom can't know im into gore and movies with such violence and cursing)
