Just watched "Felidae" again and felt the urge to make a stamp. So here it is, have a Francis
The Mendel/nightmare-sequence from the movie is my all time favourite.

Die Szene, die ich am stärksten in Erinnerung habe ist diese "Marionetten-Szene". Dieses "Hopp, hopp, hopp..." sehr bewegend fand ich...

Ja, genau die Szene hab ich oben mal in der Beschreibung verlinkt. Extremst verstörend, sehr genialer Stil, wundervolle düstere Atmosphäre. Zuerst wollten die Macher den kompletten Film in diesem Stil halten, wäre leider letztendlich (laut Audiokommentar) zu aufwändig und kaum mehr psychisch "verdaulich" gewesen. Schade.

Leider hab ich den Film nur auf Video, ein Audiokommentar dazu wäre natürlich sehr interessant. Danke, für die Information, ein Grund sich den Film nochmal genauer aunzusehen. 8D

Felidae had its intense moments like that one, but I guess it never really stayed with me or affected the way other dark animal movies (or animated movies generally) did.

While we don't have to argue that the novels of those movies are allways better then the movie I'd as well go with The Plague Dogs ( or " Die Hunde sind los" in Germany, aka one of the worst titles ever ) as the best dark animal movie.
When it comes to novels: Felidae > Watership Down > The Plague Dogs

Ich hab den Film das erste Mal mit ca. 7 Jahren gesehn ... und danach eine ganze Weile lang nur noch kopflose, ermordete Katzen gemalt

hehe, Ich hab noch nie zuvor von Felidea gehört,
und als ich die Stamp sah dachte ich es sei was
ähnliches wie warrior cats. Doch da liegen Welten
dazwischen. Warrior cats kenne ich ja. Jetzt muss
ich nur noch Felidea lesen, bzw.: ansehen. Scheint
etwas älter sein.

Hehe, kann ich gut verstehen, ich muss mich auch immer zusammenreissen um bei allen Geschichten mit Katzen nicht sofort an WarriorCats zu denken.
Kann gut sein. :'3 Aber es lohnt sich auf jedne Fall... wenn ich mich richtig erinnere gibt es den Film auch auf YouTube in vernünftiger Qualität. :3

Felidae ist ein unglaublicher Film
Gerade die Mendel Sequenz ist heftig, hab ich immer noch gut in Erinnerung,
obwohls schon wieder ne ganze Weile her ist, dass ich ihn gesehen hab.
Stamp ist klasse
