The first one on the left is epic. I love the evil look in it's eyes and the light falling on him gives even more of mysterious, sinister look!

Ooooh, ich liebe sie alle! Toll, wie die Tiere selber nicht sonderlich detailreich sind, aber einen sehr hohen Wiedererkennungswert haben.

Vierauge, Fledder und Whisper stechen hier meiner Meinung nach sehr schön raus. Aber ganz besonders klasse ist Vierauge hier, er wirkt so richtig - mystisch starrend, ich kann gar nicht beschreiben wie sehr mir der Blick gefällt.

Es war einmal ein schwarzes Tier,
ewig präsent und doch nicht von hier,
Lief und folgte einem Mann,
nahm nicht hin, was das Schicksal ersann,
sah ihn fallen, Schwarz und Rot,
Grauauge zitterte, da kam der Tod,
Flüstern, Wispern, wer kann es verstehn,
Nur ein grauer Mann; doch auch er wollte nicht sehn.
Und so sprach die Klinge, Grauauge erstarb.
Das schwarze Tier erinnert, was der graue Mann verdarb.
Lol, whut. ich konnt auch schonmal besser dichten. Beim nächsten Mal sollte ich mir vielleicht doch nicht so einfach Shit aus den Fingern saugen.

Have you ever tried working on a sheet of linoleum, put ink on it, put it on a piece of paper then into a press? (something like this [link] )

Yep.
And this is only a third of the original artwork. Our teacher told us that it took 2 years for the artist to finish it. He used indigo paper to copy the lines of each tree from a big print.
We also used indigo paper to copy this picture on out linoleum sheets. But that's easy, the hard part is the carving.
Luckily, our teacher is kinda against over realistic prints - she put us to do this only for practice, but for the next carvings she wants us to make more creative and stylized stuff.

Ich hab hier auch noch ein paar Linolplatten herumliegen, auch diverse Klingen, für die ich noch einen passenden Griff benötige, habs mal ohne versucht (geht ja auch sicher so...) und mir dabei die Finger aufgeschlitzt. Derp.
...wobei ich auch mal wieder Bock auf schnöden Kartoffeldruck hätte. Hehe.

Im Druckkurs zerschlitzen wir uns auch ständig die Finger. Selbst mit dem praktischen Holzgriff. XD Vielleicht kann ich den Dozenten nochmal nach einem Kompelttbesteck für dich fragen - die bekommen wir eh immer am laufenden Band zugesteckt, weil die sich pro Semester mit aller Regelmäßigkeit abnutzen. 8D

Und Wisper ist hier so gekrümmt, weil Defensiv-Depri-Pose. Im Normalfall hat er ja eher eine stoische Anubis-Haltung. Aber ok, wann ist er mal NICHT depri.
