Description
Your daily Skia Doodle!11th September 2010, Royal Albert Hall, Last Night of the Proms.
I was there <3 It was...I can't find the right words for it now.
Oh, how much I miss London right now. And I'm NOT meaning the fancy glittering London for tourists, no.
*sigh*
A longer journal will follow
Thank you for all your nice comments and notes lately.
I know...at the moment I'm really REALLY slow and I need a ridiculous long time to answer notes. But I answer them, I try to be quicker, sorry!
*hugs you all*

Danke. ^^

Well in the United States of America, two planes (operated by suicide bombers) crashed into the Twin Towers in New York, NY, killing thousands in the process.
I'm not preachin' I'm teachin'.

I still don't understand the problem, to be honest. Could you explain it to me? Yes, it was the one of the most terrible terrorist attacks in history. I know what happened. It makes me sad. I think no one will ever forget it. But the 11th September isn't world's day of mourning. Isn't it allowed to be happy on this day?

TL;DR: America's shit is pretty messed up, because of ourselves, and we are making a point of it by hurting innocent people, like Muslims, Mexicans, and even our own poor and needy.
Yes, in other places of course, it is "acceptable" to be happy. In America, the various social factions are always up in eachother's neck. The Rich subdue the poor, the the close-minded shun and attack immigrants (i.e. recent burning of the Qur'an, and enormous protests over the construction of a Mosque [which by the way is not a Mosque, but a rec. center with a room for prayer.] on top of the 9/11 site.), our great leader Barack Obama is about as powerful as one of his novelty replica bobble-heads, flouncing about like an oil-covered fish on dry desert sands, getting next to nill done. The list goes on and me being in a PoliSci course does not help my view of our government. Every holiday and commemorative event has become an opportunity for Wall Mart to sell us one more thing, and nobody in our country even knows what Labor Day was about, they probably think it's was because of some war or something, as I did not too long ago.
But I digress, there is so much turmoil here in America "The land of the people who trade their rights as human beings for a sense of security that totally fell through the roof on us," and the only logical solution at this point is to get plastered and party like it's Y2K all over again.
9/11 will always be a sad day in our fat-clogged American hearts, until the next generation completely forgets about it, anyway.
If any of that made sense, you didn't read it right.

What the hell?! Guess what? I know. But thank you anyway for your "history lesson" lol. It's not my fault that the concert was on 11th September.

I think they're still hung up on things that happened hundreds of years ago - I see it a lot, it's just a little bit sad when it happens really. *shrug*
Great pic by the way I have to say, despite being half-Londoner I can't manage long there before I yearn for the countryside. But then that's the same for any city I visit - London's definately my favourite out of all the one's I've visited

pretty sure no self respecting fox would be holding up a british flag, what with fox hunting being a cultural institution and all, but otherwise, awesome

No, fox hunting with dogs is banned. But you can still kill them in any other way- Snares, poison, culling, hitting them over the head with a spade... Since the London babies got eaten by that fox, Urban fox hunters have been going around with bats and bludgeoning any fox they come close to. And in London, it is easy as pie to see a fox... Think that'll change if hunting Urban foxes turns serious.

I can't believe that everyone made such a huge fuss about the fox attacking the baby (the baby was actually OK) I mean firstly, how did the family even let the fox in? And secondly, why were the babies alone late a t night anyway?!

Well, your opinion. Watching it "live" on TV is something different. And classical music isn't for everybody. I loved it.

Oh...okay! Yes, that indeed was/is more than horrible. Don't worry, (and sorry for my reaction, it wasn't meant rude) I'm sorry for the misunderstanding!

Oh no, you had every reason to be rude, to someone who thought that was a comment towards something they liked it would have seemed rude to them as well. I just saw 11th september and thought that since I had it so much on my mind since yesterday... really that's my mistake
