Carnivorous creature that evolved to mimic its primary prey to get as close as possible. while up close the differences are quite obvious, from afar or in a group, Deer mimics do look very similar to deer. They are ambush predators who hunt either alone or in pairs. Their disguise also helps them to get closer to other prey who don't see deer as a threat.
They are mostly harmless to humans. but their bite is extremely painful. They communicate with haunting calls over long distances, that are easiest described as 'close to a Loon call, but 'raspier' and slightly higher pitches.
