Hello HQ, Dunell speaking. Mission Log 1, date -heavy distortion-

After yesterdays incident Captain Kaneko made the call to move the airship and base earlier then initially planned, which in my humble opinion was the right call. My team and I stayd back here to do further Research and catch the Poofsprinter that had everyone in an uproar yesterday. We did, eventually, but I think I should get things on record beforehand. Not sure if or how much Dr.Skimmer was able to record before their rather hasty leave. Its.... quiet now, but that weirdo Poofsprinter is really making me unconfortable, caged or not. Now to the events leading up to this:

yesterday morning a Poofsprinter strutted up to our camp. I was a little confused at first why everyone was so damn cautious and chalked it up to people being on edge because of the damn bloodpups keeping the camp on their toes for a few days, until one of the researchers...I think it was Dr.Troscy, reminded me that Poofsprinters are not native to this area, at all, which made it very likely that this was either a mount or escaped from a farm somewhere. If it was indeed a mount then where was its rider. That would have been my biggest worry, but then I took a closer look and...that thing was messed up. Properly messed up. As in...practically rotting away. Also it had these weird glowing pustules on parts of its body. More disturbing though was that it did not seem to mind at all. The animals just kind of looked at us and pecked at the ground here and there, then looked around, steadily coming closer but not seeming aggressive. The only real aknoledgement it had about it situation was that it kind of swayed from time to time and picked at the glowing...things on its skin, like they where a mild inconvenience.
Before anyone could decide if we should approach or take samples or whatever else these people thought about doing, the thing suddently almost jumped and booked it back into the swamp, like it was being chased. That was enough mind f*ckery to set Kaneko off and, ignoring the Suits protests, move camp a good ways away from here.
Me and my team count 6 people total.We have trapping gear, 2 jeeps and weapons should things get really dicey. So far things have been rather anti climatic. Come nightfall the poofsprinter casually emerged again, and catching it was honestly not hard, which makes me think this was definetly a mount or maybe a pet of someone. We put it into one of the big cages. And-...I think its better if I show you.

-Camera approaches one of the big Trapper cages, time of day seems to be very early dawn. In the cage there is a Floofsprinter, currently pacing up and down, rubbing against the bars aggitatedly and hissing, as Dunell approaches, the animal suddently stays really still and just stares at him. Dunell stops and zooms in, showing that part of its skull and ribs are exposed. As described, it does not seem to be overly boethered at first, but steadily gets more agitated untill it starts screaming. Dunell flinches away slightly, cursing, but keeps the camera trained on the animal.
The Floofsprinter does not stop screaming, in fact it does not seem to even breath, its just one continous tone for a prolonged period, before it suddently stops. While it was screaming it was clearly trying to get through the bars to Mr.Dunell, but like a switch had been engaged it suddently is just standing there again, now more interested in the food provided. Dunell is filming the animal for a short period longer, before training the camera on himself. “I know it looks like its eating, but its not. It just mimmicks eating,like going through the motions or...maybe it actually is trying to eat but cant? Another thing I observed is that the wounds it has seem to close and re open somewhat fast. I will provide more video material of this, once I have had some sleep.

Before the camera is switched off, the sound of the animal starting to scream again can be heard in the background-
