congratulations for deciding to paint again. it's always a great feeling to get back at it again...

that having been said, i really enjoy this painting. the style that you chose to portray the figures thoughts is right down my ally. i'm curious as to know a little more what it means to you... though feel free to not answer that. i do something similar with my art, where i work on pieces on a daily basis and try to have each part include something that happened on that day. whether it be an image, or a sentence, part of a song i was listening to... it's an awesome thing to be able to look back on. if you'd like to see what i mean : [link]

i really really enjoy this piece. it's such an interesting idea. [i'm jealous you thought of it first] i have one "thing" though...

it's just that the title "truth at a price" gives the impression of impending doom, but really, when i look at the piece, i see a devious and scary outside world, but this silhouetted man knows some sort of glorious and happy truth somehow. it's just the playfulness of the colors and shapes i suppose.

then again... i just looked at it once more and i suppose it looks like some sort of insanity... still looks like a happy insanity to me... but i suppose the loss of one's proper cognitive functions would be a hefty price to pay for the truth. and the truth can make you crazy...

regardless of what beef i may or may not have with the title, this thing is friggin cool.
