An entry for the contest. OC's name is Clair de Lune and belongs to squidip . The scenery was inspired by frozen plains surrounding Crystal Empire in the time of Sombra's rule.

It's depicting Clair de Lune wandering frozen wastes of Crystal Empire's surroundings, searching for a mysterious source of magic...

For the style - tried something completely new here. On the hand made sketch and shading, I tried to apply few textures to see, what will come out of it. The result is... well... how to put it. Something Definitelly something. But it doesn't go well with the cartoonish style of the show, so I'm thinking of discarding it. It does make things a lot easier and looking very detailed though. But it's not exactly much of drawing, more like photo retouching. Anyway, for the texture pictures I used, there was one horse face for the face fur, one orange cat fur for the body, snow scene for the sparkling snow, one for the skies and one for the lighting, which I spent hours trying to draw by hand and then just threw the damned picture in and done

Let me know, what you guys think about it, if it's creepy or what, cause I can't really decide, whether to pursuit this style further or go back... I mean, I know artists, that use real pictures for textures all the time, but... is it still painting? ...

Painting time: ??? I reckon something over 15 hours (I was very happy, when I accidentally removed the psd file after I spent like 10 hours working and had to start again almost from scratch... - do not EVER name your main file Untitled-1... NEVER! You'll eventually end up erasing it with something completely different)
