Description
A warm-up sketch that turned into a shitty but finished drawing.Also I used my laptop to do this -cuz my PC died- and for some reason the colors look much more dull.

How do you get that cool watercolor effect? Do you paint and then render the images onto your PC or is this all done digitally? I absolutely love the colors, this drawing has a very sad tone but it works wonders.

All digital! I apply a texture to the finished drawing; usually a watercolor texture but if I remembember correctly I used a simple paper texture with this one. I also play with the blend/layer modes in PS. When it comes to adding the final texture I use either 'Overlay' or 'Soft Light' and then change the opacity of the texture so it's subtle and not so distracting.
The colors were supposed to be less saturated - to go with the mood of the picture- but my laptop had problems with showing colors. So the dull colors I used were actually really vibrant ones. But hey, I think it's better with colors like this.
