got to suggest the idea for this as a prize for winning the rebus-guessing "Random Competition of Fun" on my journal. The brief was "Marik and Bakura acting like an old married couple".

So why did I send them on holiday? I suppose tensions in relationships are more obvious then or something. This isn't something I normally would have drawn (I'm not a shipping fan), but I had a lot of fun doing it. I even have a "part 2" in mind . EDIT: here it is! The Perils of Tea-Making

I'm getting better at comics, too . Marik has Lady Gaga sunglasses, of course. I was going to put Bakura in a hawaiian shirt but in the end couldn't be bothered. It's fun to write these two characters interacting because Bakura/Florence is clearly so much more intelligent than Marik, who is... well... a dumb blonde. I tried hard to capture their proper Abridged characterisation.

Another edit Now I've been to Egypt I know they actually drink a lot of tea, which makes this an example of Did Not Do The Research. But I think it's cancelled out by the Rule of Funny so
