I'm fairly new to rainmeter and don't know anything about coding, but if I want to customize the icons, how do I change the icons? (managed to change program but not the corresponding picture in the skin)

I'm not the author but you need to basically create your own icon image. Β The way this is designed it looks like he has "icon.png" as his 4 icons and has mapped 4 boxes onto that 1 image to link to 4 separate programs. These look like icons that would be on your desktop but don't quite work the same way.
