A remake of

There it is!
I was inspired to make digimon fanart while rewatching Digimon Adventure 02 and instead of actually new art I decided to remake one of the most hideous pieces I have in my gallery. Only god knows why I haven't already deleted it. Perhaps its horribleness was the reason I wanted to make a new Phoenixmon.
I'm very happy with the result~ I remember having planned the same kind of pose for the old one back in the day, but my lack of skill prevented it. Having the aaaaabs showing like that and all - too complicated for 2009-me. I'm glad I could make it this time around.

Fun fact: Phoenixmon's helmet is actually entirely orange/golden and has no dark area on the top. The original card art had the top black as a style of shading and many artists afterwards have imitated the same look, even though in every official game the helmet has only one color. The more you know I decided to have the darker area on the top and I made the tail with the same style it is in Digimon World 1. Abusing the hell out of my artist's freedom, keheh.

I know I kind of promised to stream the shading of this one, but my week was horrible and I felt like I just needed time for myself with my art.
