Description It is said that after Sauron lost The One Ring he fled to the dark places in Mirkwood and took shape again. And he was so terrible that even his most fierce servants were afraid to gaze upon him...........so he could wear a mask over his face, and this is another one of my interpretations of Sauron...this time the way he looked in the third age. Enjoy!

I drew this with a ball point pen today during a boring lecture....
and touched it up a bit in photoshop.

I rather like this; I never much gave form to the Necromancer when I read those parts in the book, and the little details are great (like the symbol of the Eye on the mask).

I agree. Desolation of Smaug is actually a desolation of Tolkien. Peter J. lost his touch. Even with King Kong and Lovely bones. I found both boring.
DOS, on the other hand is not boring, but its not the Hobbit either.
