"Polyphemus - like and loathsome it slid into view." Dagon by H.P.LovecraftI will do a monilith pic in the near future. I just had to get this devils reef out of my head and on paper (so to speak).

I love this, love it. Your Dagon is just grade-A, no tentacled chaps just good old HPL. There is one other painting on DA which does this, I cannot remember which, but Dagons as good as this are v. rare. Bring on the monolith! (I read 'Dagon' at school at I think 15, my first HPL so the story is one of my favourites)

This reminds me of these things called Murdocks (I think) from the MMO "World of Warcraft". They always team together like that and resemble them hehe. Anyway, good work.

Well Dagon was modeled in about a week on and off. The background, foreground and reef were done in vue6 on a friday night. It was composed in around 3 hours, then i let it sit for a day as a desktop pic. I realized that it needed more atmosphere so I went into photoshop for about another two hours, and thats it! Wha-la

Is dagon's appearance basically a bigger Deep One? I mean, I guess this kinda fits my mental image but I thought he would be a bit... more cthuloid? As in, random flanges or tentacles, etc.. Either way, great gallery. Lovecraft enthusiasts unite!

No he's a big deep one. no tentacles as per the story. most of the images of him are faulty.
