Description

Deep in his slumber, Roamer is met with a horrid dream of a haunting memory. When he was just a foal, Roamer, like many other foals in the valley, was targeted by a stealthy mountain lion. If it were not for his strong willed father rescuing him, Roamer wouldn't be alive today. However, the mountain lion had left lasting scars across Roamer's face and body. He was the closest he had ever been to death that day and the memory has followed him since then. Roamer shivered and breathed heavily in his sleep, finding himself in the dream reliving the terror but twisted to be a haunting phantom. Just as the crush jaws of the phantom lunge toward his face, Roamer's eyes open wide as he is startled awake from his nightmare. He pants as he raises his head from laying down on the ground, sitting up as he is glancing around at the other sleeping horses. All of them were still sound asleep, laying on the early spring grass that had started to sprout. He wasn't sure why exactly the mares and Thunder had stayed along side him for so long, but seeing them all gave him reassurance that everything was alright. Roamer calmed his nerves and felt grateful for their presence. Roamer had traveled for so long by himself, he didn't realize how much he had missed the warmth of others near him during the chilly nights. Deep inside he slightly prayed to himself, hoping he'll have the wisdom and strength to keep them all together.
