Description This is my 1st attemp to color a Zig Zag Sketch.

There maybe som stuff that doesn't look right. Got lost when trying to color it. There was a zipper in her pants, after a frustration attemp to color it, I just removed it. This was an interesting but challenging piece to color, I wish there was a larger version of it.

I found the sketch on the net, but there was no name to it.

Zig Zag, nee Tanya Carullo, is a skunk. All you need to color her is black, white and a few shades of gray for the shadows.

Most furry artist use cel shading, so called because it looks like an animation cel. Shadows and highlights are blocked as solids. This is apposed to the more realistic gradual shading, which takes more time and is harder to do.

EWS makes a number of jokes about skunks being just back and white in Sabrina Online. ^_^

I was working with Corel Paint on this.

I tried to shade it but it wasn't working.

This was done in one shot, there are no layers.

Ah, my friend. Layers are everything. I use a separate layer for each colors highlight and shadows. Otherwise they just run together. So I end up with three layers, the base color, the shadows, and the highlights. For hair and fur I add another layer where I give it volume. ^_^
