Description

The Trance. A state where for a short time; one can use at the very least 120% of its abilities and power.
Because, the power itself is far too strong for one’s body to handle. The Trance itself won’t last more than few minutes. On the opposite of the case, the body and the mind of the one using the Trance, would eventually be destroyed slowly from the core.

On the other side, the Trance is a state that is hard to reach. Actually, it's all a matter of luck. The « fighter » must somewhat get used to the pace of the fight that he's in. Besides, he must be able to reach the peak of his Reiatsu at the same time. Being a matter of mental and physical abilities, the one who fights must be at 100% of his current abilities. Furthermore, the « Fighter » must be in total harmony with his weapon to be able to fight, not with it, but as it.

The « Fighter » must be the « Weapon » & the « Weapon » must be the « Fighter ».

I was facing Shikei, my both hands on Oin’s hilt. The trail of light slowly following my eyes as I narrowed them at him. By creating a stepping platform made of reishi, I prepared myself for battle while moving at high-speed towards the 9th division Captain reiatsu following my zanpakuto’s blade. In less than a second our blades collided with violent clatter. The ground behind him exploded because of the impulsion made by our blades, though he barely was able to stand his ground.

I then swung my blade to launch a strong wave of reiatsu horizontally at him. He managed to avoid it by jumping upwards but while in mid-air Shikei took a glance at me. Quickly, he noticed that I was accumulating reiatsu to the tip of Oin. My both legs firmly pressed against the ground, my Zanpakuto held high behind my back with my both hands. A large quantity of surrounding Reishi was reaching the edge of my blade.

A huge blast came out from Oin, rushing at the captain who now was defenseless under the high speed wave. Of course, the attack landed and with quite violently that's it.
I was sweating and breathing heavily. My knuckles were turning white from the force in which I hold Oin.

With my body hunched, I looked at the huge wall of smoke & reiatsu facing me. I had dark circles around my eyes as I was tired to the upper-max. In a matter of seconds, the light in my eyes disappeared. My knees felt weak as my hands started to shake. The Trance was over & it took all my left stamina with it.

Looking to the left and to the right. I could barely see the others, at best it was only their shadowy shapes. My vision was heavily blurred and I was wondering myself how I was still standing. I tried to take a step forward to move towards my friends but my legs were hardly moving nor holding my weigh. Taking a step now would have been a feat actually.

The dirty and bloody mixed sweat running all the long of my face, I opened my eyes big while glancing at the smoke. He was there, standing in the middle of the dust and flying rubble. He just was shaking a little bit of his torn clothes to take off the dust from them.

On the other side, a large trail of blood was noteworthy on the right side of his face. It covered his right eye which was now closed to not get blood in it probably or it was already blurred by it.

Finally, he looked back at me with eyes similar to an angry beast than human or a man. They weren't fulfilled of anger though. It would be more of a bloodlust than anything else.

Immediately, the same energy surrounded my body. I quickly realized that it had completely paralyzed me.

Following that instant, Shikei appeared before me. His blade lifted-up above his red mohawk head. The cold looking metal on it was almost mirror clear as the sun rays were shining from it.
- If you managed to survive this, the least I can do is to give you a scar of war!
And with a single swing, his blade slashed against the skin of my head slicing through my skin; diagonally above my left eye. Blood was gushing out of my head and I finally met the hard ground, screaming in pain.

The paralysis finally over, I managed to put both of my hands on the wound while screaming out loud. I was tossing and turning in the red stained floor, moaning in pain. The 9thdivision Captain looked down at me, his blood covered weapon by his side in his firm hold. He was already ready to deliver another blow.

At the same exact moment, Nimaijita instantly rushed at me, her fists closed tightly. In less than a second, she would have been able to reach us and protect me. That's if everything would have gone as she had planned.
When she started running; a Reiatsu bigger than any of the ones that we had felt until now poured out of nowhere. Everyone was surprised; no matter of it being Captains or us. All of us turning our heads to the place where it came from, the feelings were shared.

All the captains smiled of joy. On the same instant, all members of our team felt despair leaning on us heavier than before. Coming from the smoke with powerful winds surrounding him. He had the average sleeveless haori on top of his dark kimono. Mid-long hair white as snow and a beard quite similar. The hands of Nimaijita were covered of sparkles as she was preparing to use Shunko. Lia & Perro were both preparing their Cero. Suripu had a few tentacles appearing behind his body & Sophia already was aiming at him with her bow stretched tight. In a few seconds, they would attack him all in a row.

But he acted before anyone could even open their mouth for an argument. Quickly unsheathing his Zanpakuto, the Captain-Commander did a single swing horizontally with his blade.

Right after, a huge Tornado with a radius of few dozen meters came from the ground. It simply caught all of us in to its hold giving an overwhelming speed and throwing us with force. The strength in it was incredible. The 5 of us flew away at an unimaginable speed. I couldn’t have separated the ground from the sky if I hadn’t had the strength to keep my eyes open through the flight. Whole scene turning around me with a sickening pace.
My flight was stopped when I met something hard, it was the Shakonmaku. It was like flying through a thick glass window. My body, slightly stopping to its surface. A moment brief enough that only I noticed it before the wall of made of reiatsu barely let us go through under the force of the tornado. At least my body wasn’t spinning anymore.
My eyes started to feel heavy and I my body had gone numb. The last thing I saw was the forest and the mountains before my limb body met the ground. We had been thrown out from the Seireitei, like a winter breeze moving the fair leaves from its way.

All the things we had done until now, were lost in the vain.

A few hours passed since when we had landed outside with a loud crash. We all were finally awakened. And we were now back at the starting point.
