Unnecessary? Maybe, but it still is awesome! The mood and colours really make this stand out.
Also the dynamic and rough brushstrokes + the detail at finer places look especially good and well balanced when put together here.
The sense of movement the car has is underlined with the tilted layout & the diagonal lines across the whole piece.
The look of the viewer is really directed well in the thought out composition.

thanks! Its interesting how you describe the painting in details I certainly did not think about when painting. It comes naturally I guess. But on the other hand, this really is the easy way to create working dynamic composition... i mean with diagonals and some undescriptive brushstrokes in sky.
