By the time the MALAKAS Project officially announced its opening for recruits, among those were a quarter who had disabilities. Most of them had prosthetics, but the thing for them was they wanted to be strong as regular soldiers. Some of them suffered from bullying and wanted to overcome it. Ethan on the other hand had other motive he had in mind.

Ethan Reinhardt was a wolf with a right arm prosthetic, hailing from Germany, who came to join the project. Suprisingly, his prosthetic was somewhat cybernetic as its material was mostly metal with green neon glowing all over his right arm. His only motive in joining the project was just to impress the girl, even though he seemed capable enough of working out in a gym with a prosthetic that unrestricted. Likely, he heard about Sammy Luna's progress well enough that he also convinced his blue female jackal friend to take on the MALAKAS Project, and so the two went to the mountain base together.

The issue about prosthetics was brought up by a wolf instructor named Errol James Spenser who once had a friend who was forced to have a prosthetic after losing his leg. Another thing was that the muscle growth serum obviously could not affect non-living aids attached to organic bodies out of chemical logic. The best solution to help the disabled recruits was to build prosthetics with materials flexible, strong and hard enough to match the strength and power of high rankers.

This was not the case with Ethan however as his prosthetic was no ordinary type of such. Judging by materials and contents inside, his right arm prosthetic was thankfully manageable and upgradeable. Ethan was also experienced in robotics, so he at least knew how to enlarge his prosthetic muscles to match organic muscles of his, should he get promoted. Well, he did, so he ensured an extension or contraction of prosthetic muscles whenever he either grew bigger to be a Juggernaut or shrunk back to Super Soldier. While it seemed lucky for Ethan to have such a powerful type, robotics-based prosthetics were actually a bigger challenge to scientists and engineers working in the MALAKAS Project, as they were not as waterproof as other types, despite their better performance.

Things went as usual for Ethan and his female jackal friend Vanis for months, so nothing was worth telling, because their experience was pretty as similar to that of many recruits. However after an honorable discharge, they went back to Germany to tell what they had been become to their friends. Even though it was highly unlikely for the MALAKAS Project to extend its coverage to Germany, Ethan was certain that many of his friends and possibly other Germans would be interested to join the project in the US anyway.
