A Charizard flies about in search of strong opponents. It breathes intense flames that can melt any material. However, it will never torch a weaker foe. - Pokemon Emerald.
Pokemon Number 006: Charizard / リザードン.
-The Flame Pokemon.
-Fire/Flying Types.
Artist's Thoughts:
-Aaah Charizard. <3 <3
-I messed around with the Impressionist Brush tool, along with the Wet Media Brush set to get the flame effect. The background is the Kanji for "fire", if that's hard to tell.
-My Charizard is called Ragnarok, named for the Earth-type Psynergy of that name in the Golden Sun series for the GBA.

I've been drooling for a GSC remake since FireRed/LeafGreen.
From the reviews of the Japanese version, it looks like everything it's cracked up to be, and then some. Yeah!

This is really well done, I like the pose and you've coloured it so well.

Fun! Nice composition with the background. The figure is just askew enough that it stands out, but it still clicks with the kanji background. One thing that bugs me, though, is that his arms are still a little too skinny. Don't hesitate to put some meat on those bones!

Yeeeah! I was planning to do some generic flame-shaped background, or an explosion, but then my brain went to that episode where Charizard fought Magmar on that volcano and I went GASP FIRE KANJI.
Argh the arms, they are still too flimsy.
I will do better. Just you watch.
More likely than not, I'll get bored or run out of ideas somewhere near the hundredth picture. Then it's back to sitting around moping in self-pity. XP

Good call; a generic flame-shape thingie would have fallen flat to Charizard's awesomeness.
